Back on two wheels

We had scheduled a rest day today, to give our legs a chance to recover from our climbing exploits but we decided to keep that in reserve if we needed it later on in the trip.

Some good news, Rachel is back on the bike.  She's decided to give it another bash to see if her knee holds up.  So, with the rain falling hard, we made our way up the cycle track that links Caernarfon to Bangor.  A quick stop off for breakfast in a cafe and then back into the rain.

We followed Cycle route 5 that runs East across North Wales.  It's mostly flat, and we were hoping to get to the border with England.  As it turns out we fell just short of that goal, stopping for the night in Flint.  Another Travelodge, but it's better than getting wet in the tent.

The smallest house in the UK.  Smaller than the tandem

The lady between us is in full Welsh costume... and a rain mac

It's small enough that you can touch both walls at the same time, and so small that you can't stand far enough back to capture it in a photo...

Finally, it stops raining for a few minutes
